Many people often wonder if they have normal blood sugar levels from their diet. Sugar, or glucose, enters your body via carbohydrates such as bread, potatoes, cake and brownies. Glucose is needed and it is used as a primary energy source in humans and animals.

So what are normal blood sugar levels? It is between 70 and 140 mg. This number fluctuates throughout the day and after meals. People with high blood sugar levels have hyperglycemia while those who have low blood sugar levels have hypoglycemia. Consistent hyperglycemia is indicative of diabetes.
If you think you may have hyperglycemia then go to your doctor so that they can run some glucose tests to confirm your suspicions.
