Stress comes in many forms at work. It can be anywhere from deadlines to social riffs or asking for a potential raise. Whatever the case, stress can creep up so you need to be on the lookout for any type of stress. If you find that stress is overtaking your day, use these simple techniques to quell any stress.
Stress Suggestions In The Workplace
- Take A Micro Break – if anything you do, take frequent mini breaks of 2-3 minutes. Close your eyes and stop thinking about work. Take a few deep breaths and then re-focus back on work.
- Do Simple Yoga – Stretching your arms or legs in a chair or on the floor will help alleviate stress and increase blood flow.
- Take A Walk – Instead of sitting during your 15 min breaks, go outside and take a brisk walk. Over time this little bit of exercise will help with any mental or physical stress you may have.
